SMACKDOWN TO GET NEW ANNOUNCE TEAM FOR BRAND SPLIT?

According to reports, the plan for WWE’s announce teams in relation to the upcoming brand extension is to once again have separate teams for each show, including PPVs (at this point, there are no plans for single brand PPVs, but each team would announce for their respective brand’s matches). With Byron Saxton currently performing double duty on Raw and Smackdown, that would seem to open up a spot on commentary (assuming WWE sticks with three-man announce teams). Many have called for NXT color commentator Corey Graves to make the jump to a desk on the main roster, and it looks like this might be his chance. For his part, Graves is already teasing joining the Smackdown booth on social media, in conversation with current Smackdown play-by-play announcer Mauro Ranallo.
